Common questions

Where are my dream entries stored?

Locally on your device. Dreams never leave your device unless you tap Interpret, in which case the text of that one dream is sent to our interpretation backend, processed, and returned. We don't retain it. Full detail in our Privacy Policy.

What happens if I uninstall Mnemo?

All your dream entries are deleted permanently from your device. We don't keep a remote copy — there's nothing to restore from. Export anything you want to keep before uninstalling.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Open your iPhone's Settings app → tap your name at the top → Subscriptions → Mnemo Dreams → Cancel Subscription. The subscription stays active until the end of the current billing period.

I'm on the 3-day free trial. When am I charged?

If you don't cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, you're charged $29 for the first year. To cancel during the trial, follow the steps above — cancellation takes effect when the trial ends and you won't be billed.

I bought Premium on one device. How do I restore it on a new device?

Install Mnemo on the new device, then in Settings tap Restore Purchases. As long as both devices are signed into the same Apple ID, your premium entitlement will sync automatically.

The interpretation didn't reach my dream's actual themes. Why?

Two reasons usually: the dream was very short (Claude works better with more context), or the AI's training has gaps. Try filling in the What's been on your mind field to give the AI context about your recent life. Premium subscribers can also re-read the same dream through a different psychological lens — the same dream interpreted through a Jungian lens reads dramatically differently than through a Cognitive lens.

Why does Mnemo require microphone permission?

Only for voice transcription of dreams, which happens entirely on your device via Apple's Speech framework. Audio never leaves your device. Voice input is optional — you can always type dreams instead.

Does Mnemo work without an internet connection?

You can log and read dreams offline. AI interpretation requires a connection because the request is sent to a remote AI service. If you log a dream offline, you can request the interpretation later when you reconnect.

Is Mnemo a medical or therapy app?

No. Mnemo is a journaling tool. Interpretations are reflective prompts grounded in dream-research traditions (Jung, Freud, cognitive dream science, symbolic frameworks) — they are not medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. If you're struggling, talk to a qualified professional.

Does Mnemo predict the future?

No. Mnemo will not predict your future, read your fate, or tell you what your dreams mean for tomorrow. It interprets dreams the way working dream researchers do — as expressions of the dreamer's mind, not as omens.
