These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the Mnemo Dreams mobile application and any related services (collectively, the "App"). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
What Mnemo is: a private dream journal with AI-generated psychological interpretation. What Mnemo is NOT: a medical, psychiatric, therapeutic, predictive, divinatory, fortune-telling, astrological, or supernatural service. Interpretations are reflective prompts, not diagnoses, treatment, or forecasts.
Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the App on devices you own or control, for your personal, non-commercial use. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, rent, reverse-engineer, or decompile any part of the App, except as permitted by law.
Interpretations are produced by an AI language model (Anthropic's Claude). AI-generated content can be inaccurate, incomplete, biased, or contradictory. We make no representation or warranty that interpretations are accurate, complete, suitable for any particular purpose, or safe to rely on. Treat interpretations as one perspective among many — not as authoritative claims about you, your relationships, your future, or your mental state.
We do not guarantee the AI will remain available or that its responses will be consistent over time. We may update, replace, or remove AI features at any time.
Mnemo offers a free tier (limited interpretations) and optional paid subscriptions:
Subscriptions are billed through your Apple ID. Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase (or at the end of the trial period, for the annual plan). Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage and cancel any time in your Apple ID Settings → Subscriptions.
We do not provide refunds for partial subscription periods. Prices may change with reasonable advance notice; changes take effect at your next renewal.
You retain ownership of all dream entries, notes, and other content you create in the App. By using the App, you grant us a limited, worldwide, royalty-free license to process Your Content solely as needed to operate the App (for example, to send dream text to our interpretation backend so we can return an interpretation to you). We do not use Your Content to train AI models. We do not share Your Content with third parties except as described in our Privacy Policy.
Mnemo is not a substitute for professional care. If you are in crisis or considering self-harm, please contact a qualified professional or a crisis line in your country (in the U.S., dial or text 988; internationally, see findahelpline.com). The App includes technical safeguards that try to detect crisis language and route you toward resources rather than continue with interpretation — but those safeguards are imperfect and are not a substitute for professional care.
THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION ANY WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, OR THAT THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, SECURE, OR ACCURATE. WITHOUT LIMITING THE FOREGOING, WE EXPRESSLY DISCLAIM ANY WARRANTY THAT AI-GENERATED INTERPRETATIONS ARE ACCURATE, RELIABLE, OR SAFE TO ACT UPON.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT WILL WE BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE APP. OUR TOTAL CUMULATIVE LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THESE TERMS WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US FOR THE APP IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM AROSE, OR (B) USD $50.
Because the App is distributed through Apple's App Store: these Terms are between you and us, not Apple. Apple has no obligation to provide support for the App. In the event of any failure of the App to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price (if any). Apple has no other warranty obligation. We — not Apple — are responsible for addressing any claims relating to the App. Apple and Apple's subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of The Bahamas, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms will be resolved in the courts of competent jurisdiction located in Nassau, The Bahamas, and you consent to the jurisdiction of those courts. Nothing in this section prevents either party from seeking injunctive or equitable relief in any court of competent jurisdiction.
We may modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be announced in the App or by other reasonable means. Continued use after changes means you accept the revised Terms.
These Terms remain in effect for as long as you use the App. We may suspend or terminate your license at any time if you breach these Terms. You may terminate any time by uninstalling the App and cancelling any active subscriptions. Sections by their nature surviving termination (warranty disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnity) survive.
